Come and discover a rare and powerful film on the big screen: The Soul of the Bossales, followed by a discussion hosted by Très Bons Docs, in collaboration with Tayno Radio and Haiti Cultural Xchange.

In the presence of director François Perlier and members of the Haitian American Lawyers Association.

This documentary portrays the Haitian people’s grassroots political and artistic resistance in the face of a social situation where violence threatens the population on a daily basis. The film thus bears witness to a country whose citizens are fighting in their own way to preserve their dignity and remain a people. A whirlwind of sound and images, this film—which resonates with the country’s dramatic current events—also highlights the richness and beauty of Haiti’s rebellious culture and the ‘souls’ that keep it alive.
